- Personal Pension Plans (PPPs)
- Stakeholder Pension Plans
- Group Personal Pension Plans (GPPs)
- Group Stakeholder Pension Plans
- Phased Retirement and Income Drawdown (Pension Fund withdrawal)
- Self Invested Personal Pension Plans (SIPPs)
- Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVCs) and Free Standing AVCs (FSAVCs)
- Executive Pension Plans (EPPs)
- Small Self Administered Schemes (SSASs)
- Section 32 Policies
- Contracted In Money Purchase Schemes (CIMPS)
- Contracted Out Money Purchase Schemes (COMPS)
- Retirement Annuity Contracts (RACs)
- Final Salary Schemes
All of these schemes are now covered by the post-April 2006 rules.
Scheme documentation written prior to April 2006 should be considered outdated and is overruled where the post-April 2006 rules have been adopted by the trustees. By now all older style schemes should have been assigned to one of the four types of Arrangement covered in Registered Pension Schemes and be governed by its rules.
Practically, this means that you may be able to contribute more than you could prior to April 2006. Also, the rules concerning the taking of benefits are likely to have greater flexibility than prior to April 2006.
