The Way We Work
As Independent Financial Advisors, we can advise on financial products available from all providers. We use advanced computer software to research, compare and select the most suitable and beneficial products available. Another series of software is available to record and predict investment performance.
On receiving an enquiry, we will arrange a meeting with the prospective client. This meeting is usually at the client’s home or place of work. A meeting can be arranged at our office. The purpose of this initial meeting is to review your existing financial situation and assess your possible future needs. We will help you to decide how much provision you need to make and the order of priority in dealing with your finances. This help will be sensibly balanced in relation to your current income and your prospects.
The initial consultation is free and there is no obligation to proceed. All our proposals will be fully explained and costed so that you will know exactly what and why before you agree to anything.
After the initial consultation, we will agree with you whether you pay us a fee or whether we are paid commission out of the cost of any financial product which you effect. We will always tell you about any commission we earn and it will be taken into account in working out our fee.
Commission is paid to us by a provider (usually an insurance company or an investment house) for the successful placing of business. The commission is included within the provider’s normal product charges and is based on a percentage of the premiums payable or sums invested.
Fees will usually be based on time spent and calculated at a rate per hour to cover our costs. We are not registered for VAT. No charges for fees will be made without prior notification in writing.
